Jesse Gabriel Kalhoun

Jesse Gabriel Kalhoun, age 45, passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2021 from a fatal car accident. He was born on October 16,1975 to Christine Roussos-Kalhoun and Randall Kalhoun in Youngstown, Ohio.

He was a 1994 graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School in Seattle, Washington. He also had a two-year business degree from YSU. He went to culinary school and became a chef for the Darden company and various country clubs. He also did excavating and landscaping. In 2015, he started a career as a Local 71 union roofer, working with SRI, Boak & Sons, and TEMA Roofing Services, where he worked as a journeyman. Jesse's life passion and salvation was music starting at a young age. He was a very talented and gifted guitarist and songwriter. He was in many bands, with Stereotype i being his own, playing many venues from coast to coast.

Jesse met the love of his life in 2014, the former Ramona Waltz. They were married on June 23, 2018 in unity of love and in the presence of God. He was a dedicated and loving father to four wonderful stepchildren and enjoyed family vacations to Florida, Oregon, and Seattle. He traveled to many states all over the USA. His kindhearted spirit appreciated spending time with all of his family and friends, helping others in need, and he loved animals. He took good care of his mom and made sure he was always there for her when she needed him.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Ramona Kalhoun; stepchildren, Michaela Gibson, Jade (Anthony Costa) Janacone, Xavier Gibson, and Cheyenne Gibson; his  beloved mother, Christine (Keith) Roussos-Kalhoun; most wonderful grandfather, Dean Roussos; aunts, Nancy (Jeff) Roussos and Connie (John) Ashworth; uncle, Steven Roussos; and cousins, Sabrina Ashworth and Jason Roussos. Jesse is preceded in death by his father, Randall Kalhoun; fraternal grandparents, Jack and Vera Kalhoun; maternal grandmother, Rosemary Roussos; and cousin, Curtis Ashworth. 

He will be forever missed by all who knew and loved him. Let the music play on.

Viewing and visitation with the family will be held from 4-8 pm on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at Cremation & Funeral Service by Gary S. Silvat, Inc., 3896 Oakwood Ave., Austintown, OH 44515.
