Dennis Martinez

On  Tuesday, October 8, 2019, Dennis Martinez, age 49 of  Youngstown passed away in Hospice House in Poland, OH with his family at his side.  He was born in Youngstown on June 14, 1970 to Jose and Carmen Mercedes Salgado Martinez.

Dennis moved to Florida and then back to Youngstown where he was a blacktop paver and construction worker for many years.  He enjoyed spending his time with his family, friends, watching TV, cooking on the grill and always loved a good laugh.  He was also a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Dennis is survived by his siblings, Lillian (Salim) Jett of Pensacola, FL, Frank (Linda) Martinez of Youngstown, Angelo (Ruthie) Martinez of Youngstown, Miguel (Gloria) Martinez of Orlando, FL, John (Michelle) Martinez of Youngstown, Eric (Roselyn) Martinez of Orlando, FL, Carmen (Irving) Mercado of Brooklyn, NY; sister-in-law, Della Martinez; step-sister, Shirley Martinez as well as, several nieces and nephews whom he adored.

Besides his parents, Dennis was also preceded in death by his brother, Jose Matinez Jr.

In keping with Dennis' wishes there will be no public services.
