David Richard DeGenova

On Monday, August 13, 2018, David Richard DeGenova, age 62, passed away at home.  He was born in Youngstown, OH on January 21, 1956 to Elmer and Catherine (Maravola) DeGenova.

Dave is survived by his beloved children, Geoffrey DeGenova of Jacksonville, FL, Amanda (Liam) Stockton of San Angelo, TX; grandchildren, Dylan Stockton, Keagan Stockton, both of TX, Victoria DeGenova, Valerie DeGenova, both of FL; nephews, Joel DeGenova, Michael DeGenova, both of Struthers; his companion, Lori Lee of Lake Milton and former wife, Adele David of Jacksonville, FL

Besides his parents, Dave was also preceded in death by his brother, Armand DeGenova.

Dave was a simple man who didn’t require a lavish lifestyle.  His family was his fortune.  He loved to sit and chat for hours.  He was known for his big smile, goofy personality, and the mischievous twinkle in his eye.  He just had a way of making everyone laugh.

Dave enjoyed the countless hours he spent working on cars in the garage with his son, Geoff.  He also adored the time he spent throwing the softball around with his daughter, Amanda.  As Dave got older, he relished the opportunity to sit in the backyard and watch his four grandchildren play.

Dave had an affinity for music; he was an avid drum player since his teens.  He was also a huge movie buff.  He enjoyed walking around flea markets for hours, looking for the next film to add to his collection. Dave could spend days watching movie after movie, sitting on the couch with his little buddy, his dog, Scooby.
