Michael Edward Beckett

On Saturday, June 17, 2017, Michael (Mike) E. Beckett, in his 51st year, left our world after a severe stroke. He was born in 1966 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, the youngest son of Leon W. Beckett and Madeleine Ruth Gardner. Mike is survived by his beloved wife Petya and daughter Elena, and five brothers - Leon, Robert (Bob), William (Bill), Daniel (Dan), and David (Pete); and two dogs - Zoey and Oliver.

Mike worked for Dr Pepper Snapple Group, had a huge heart, loved helping people, always had a comforting word and supporting shoulder, and many have called him "Papa". Besides Ohio and Michigan, he has lived in California, Florida and Texas, and has touched the lives of many across the USA and all over the world. By his wish, his heart will keep beating and give a life to someone else.

In lieu of flowers, A Go Fund Me page has been set up to help his family during this heartbreaking time and to cover medical and funeral expenses.

The memorial service will be held at 1 pm on June 24, 2017, at St. Anthony's Church, 1125 Turin Street, Youngstown, Ohio 44510. The calling hours begin at 12 pm.
