Mary A. Harris

Youngstown, OH - On Friday, October 13, 2017, Mary A. Harris, age 77, passed away at Danridge's Burgundi Manor with her loving family at her side.  She was born in Youngstown on August 8, 1940 a daughter of Evelyn Daniels.

Mary is survived by her beloved daughter LaChelle (Raymond) Thompkins of Campbell; granddaughters, LaVeisha Daniels, Kahdeedra Thompkins both of Youngstown; great grandchildren, Deron and Zianna; siblings, Savannah Steward of Youngstown, Charles Lilly Jr. of Cleveland and Denise Harmon of Youngstown.

Besides her mother Mary was preceded in death by siblings, James Daniels, Charlotte Lindsey and David Lilly.

During her life Mary worked at South Side Hospital as an Inhalation Therapist before taking a position with the Mahoning County Children Service Board  as a cook in the Girls Group Home until her retirement.  Mary was always prepared to welcome others, making a fuse over them so they felt welcomed and attended to but remained humbled when others fused over her.  Her biggest joys in life were being a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and follower of our Lord at the Assemblies of God Church - Victory Christian Center - Coitsville Campus.  Mary will be missed.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 from 4-7 PM at Seneca Oaks Apartments, 1096 Eastway Dr., Youngstown, OH 44505 (Off McGuffey Rd).
